Villages like Migriño, Candelaria, Todos Santos and Pescadero on the Pacific side, can be found less than an hour away from Los Cabos. It is possible to enjoy trekking and ATV’s tours where you can admire a real oasis in the desert in Candelaria, all year round.
In winter, the beaches of Migriño, Todos Santos and Pescadero are perfect for surfing and whale-watching.
Todos Santos is a village located on the Pacific side, an hour away from Cabo San Lucas, it is considered a “Pueblo Magico’’ (a Magic Town), with wonderful colonial buildings, Mexican art and crafts, and delicious typical regional food which is mostly made of local products. Its uncrowded beaches are a perfect place to relax, spend the day and surf.
One of the jewels of the East Cape is Cabo Pulmo, approximately two hours away from San Jose del Cabo. It is a protected National Marine Park recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, representing one of the most impressive achievements in ocean conservation and the only hard coral reef in the Gulf of California.
Estimated to be around 20,000 years old, the reef of Cabo Pulmo has been considered a treasure of the Baja Peninsula and has over 800 species of marine life, hence its nickname, "The Aquarium of the World".
It is a scuba diving and snorkeling area famous around the world, with the highest standards of dive education and world-class diving instructors.
Santiago y Miraflores
Santiago and Miraflores are both located about 30 kilometers north of San Jose del Cabo. Visitors can see the traditional ways of locals, buy their local crafts and taste their delicious food. Activities such as mountain biking, trekking and visiting the “Sol de Mayo” waterfall are a must. There are also thermal waters that are a great way to release stress and relax.
